Sri Lanka Tuesday reported seven deaths due to COVID-19 after the figures were confirmed by the Director General of Health Services on Monday, August 01.
Among the deaths reported today, are 03 males and 04 females. While 05 deaths are of elderly people in the 60 years and above age group, two females in the 30-59 years age group has also succumbed to the disease.
Meanwhile, another 117 people infected with Covid-19 have been identified today (02).
According to the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, since the outbreak of the COVID-19 in February 2020, Sri Lanka has reported 665,964 infections and 16,566 deaths to date.
