Spa Ceylon, the iconic luxury wellness brand, is proud to announce its collaboration with Shangri-La Colombo for a series of events centered on ’Wellness Month’. The events will take place throughout the month of June and will feature a range of wellness events scheduled around various landmark days including Global Wellness Day, International Yoga Day and so on.
To kick off the collaboration, Spa Ceylon and Shangri-La Colombo held a press conference on 8th June in anticipation of the aforementioned events for which fitness and wellness personalities, members of the business community and clients of Spa Ceylon and Shangri-La Colombo, are expected to attend. Shalin Balasuriya, the Director of Marketing & Co-Founder of Spa Ceylon, and Mr. Herve Duboscq, the General Manager of Shangri-La Colombo, addressed the media during the press conference.
Wellness Month aligns with the idea of checking in on one’s well-being during the midpoint of the year. Ahead of the press conference, Shalin Balasuriya, Director of Marketing and Co-Founder of Spa Ceylon stated, “We believe that wellness is not a pursuit, but a way of life”. He further explained, “Being immersed in Ayurveda, which is the science of life and the need for balance both internally and externally, for us as individuals, communities and nations is more important today than ever before. We believe that bringing attention to it through our wellness initiatives is a part of our responsibility as a global Ayurveda brand.”
Recognizing that living well manifests in various aspects such as diet, sleep, and exercise, Spa Ceylon has partnered with Shangri-La Colombo to offer an array of exclusive wellness activities and experiences. These include guided yoga and meditation sessions, as well as workshops dedicated to enhancing sleep quality and deep relaxation.

This is not the first time the hospitality multinational has joined hands with Spa Ceylon to celebrate wellness, hosting numerous events.
