The youth of Sri Lanka face a serious issue in the form of lack of proper career guidance, which prevents them from seeing and achieving their full potential. Understanding this, Aberdeen Holdings (Pvt) Ltd recently hosted “Inspiring the Leaders of Tomorrow” – a career guidance initiative for students. The programme was hosted on the 29th of July 2023 at Ex-Pack Corrugated Cartons PLC, aiming to address the need for comprehensive career guidance and support among Sri Lanka’s youth.
“Inspiring the Leaders of Tomorrow” extended an invitation to young minds, encouraging them to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and empowerment. It helped to address various challenges including showing students the possibilities and paths available to them, while also providing guidance and resources. Such efforts are crucial as Sri Lanka strives to retain its talent within the country. In particular, providing adequate vocational training and career guidance can help students see the possibilities and opportunities they can enjoy, without having to resort to migration and foreign employment as their only option. With steadfast commitment and visionary passion, this initiative strives to shape the leaders of tomorrow, ushering in a future where Sri Lanka’s potential reaches its full realization.
At the heart of this initiative lies a profound commitment to fostering the brilliance of the next generation. With a vision for a brighter future for Sri Lanka, “Inspiring Young Minds” drew the enthusiastic participation of more than 40 students. Mr. Zamreen Zarook, a renowned motivational Speaker, Chief Trainer of Tolmark, and Director of GlinMax, delivered an inspiring keynote address that injected a strong dose of motivation into the event, and provided much needed direction and clarity for the participants.
Central to this endeavour is also a resolute belief in the untapped potential within the youth—the architects of the future.
