Yupun becomes first South Asian to finish 100m below 10 seconds & win

Yupun Abeykon managed to become the first ever Sri Lankan and the South Asian to break the 10-second barrier for the very first time in the 100m category.

Abeykoon earlier entered the finals of the 100m A category of the Resisprint International Chaux-de-Fonds 2022 in Switzerland, finished the event with a time of 9.96 seconds.

Accordingly, today he broke the record he set last May by recording a time of 10.6 seconds.
