Seylan Bank emerged Champions in the Cup category at the 10th Mercantile Inter-Firm Badminton Doubles Team Championship 2022. The Seylan team beat Dialog 3 – 2 and Sampath Bank 3 – 1 to qualify to the finals. The finals were played between Seylan Bank and Dialog, where Seylan Bank recorded an easy win, beating their opponents 3 – 1.
The Seylan Bank team, captained by Manjula Perera, comprised of Rashanga Fernando, Thimeera Benthotage, Pameesha Dishanthi, Daminda De Silva, Madushika Dilrukshi, Lasindu Nimsara, Mahinda Jayaweera, Rivipriya Rathnatillake and Renu Chandrika De Silva. The Mercantile Inter-Firm Badminton Team Championship was held at the Mercantile Badminton Association Head Quarters, Malalasekara Mawatha, Colombo 07.
