(The Department of Immigration and Emigration announced that the Issuance of Passports under the one-day service will be commenced with effect from 04th July 2022 at the Regional Offices in Matara, Vavuniya and Kandy.
At the beginning, this service will be given only for 100 applicants who have already reserved a date and time at each Regional Office.
The applicants are requested to log in to www.imiugration.gov Ik in-order to reserve a date and time to submit applications at the Regional office.
Service has to be delivered to the applicants who have already given date and time at present, to obtain passports under normal service at Regional Offices in Matara, Vavuniya and Kandy. Therefore, those who have not made prior reservation of a date and time are requested not to present.
Further, date and time to obtain Passports under one-day service at the Head Office of the Department of Immigration and Emigration for the next 60 days have already been reserved and completed.
Hence, applicants who has to travel abroad urgently for employment, have to send the documents confirming the same via WhatsApp message to telephone No. 0706311711, and thereafter a date and time will be allocated soon by the department to submit applications.
It is informed that a date and time will be allocated on the urgent basis after confirming the accuracy of the submitted documents.
