Litro Gas company says that the ship carrying 3,724 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas which was expected to reach the country between the 6th and 8th of this month would be further delayed.
The ship would be delayed due to changes in the weather conditions, the company said.
The ship is now expected to reach the country on 9th of this month.
This LP gas shipment is scheduled to arrive the island in accordance with the agreement signed between the World Bank and the Litro Gas Company for the import of 100,000 metric tons of LP gas.
Meanwhile, two more gas ships are scheduled to arrive on Sri Lanka on the 11th and 16th of July,
