SLT-MOBITEL, the National ICT Solutions Provider, powered the thrilling Battle of Vi-Vians, One-Day cricket match featuring D/Uvarmalai Vivekananda College and D/Vibulananda College Trincomalee recently.
The 50-over encounter organised for the second year was held at the Sri Koneswara Hindu College Sports Ground, drawing an enthusiastic audience of over 2500 students, parents and cricket loving communities.
Sivanantham Sritharan, Director Regional Education, Trincomalee was the Chief Guest. Senior Management from SLT-MOBITEL graced the occasion andalso addressed all those present at the encounter.
The event was the most significant and largest cricket gathering held in the Eastern Province recently. The sponsorship enabled SLT-MOBITEL to showcase the brand image among the youth segment especially in the eastern part of the country. SLT-MOBITEL’s presence reiterates the organisation’s continuous support and financial assistance provided to uplift the sporting sector in regions outside Colombo.
Vibulananda College triumphed scoring 152 runs winning the magnificent trophy. The event was also streamed live via the Internet on vilaiyaddu.com for cricket fans.
