The United Kingdom (UK) will continue to support Sri Lanka through these challenges, Minister of State Foreign Commonwealth & Development Affairs Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon said yesterday.
Leaving a note on his Twitter account, Minister Tariq Ahmed said he had a constructive call with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and discussed the current security situation and economic situation of Sri Lanka with the President.
Minister Tariq Ahmed said the discussion also focused on rights to peaceful protest, media freedom, human rights and justice.
The Minister has stated in his Twitter post that UK is ready to continue to provide support to Sri Lanka through these challenges.
