Norlanka Vendor Awards 2022 recognizes top performing partners

Norlanka, one of Sri Lanka’s largest sustainable exporters of baby and kids wear, successfully concluded ‘Norlanka Vendor Awards’ recently at Shangri-La Colombo.

During this unforgettable evening, Norlanka’s top performing manufacturing and supply-chain partners were recognized and rewarded. Awards were presented across 23 different categories for our partners’ outstanding performances during the 12-month period from 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2022. The event was graced by many enthusiastic representatives from Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan & China. Vendor & supply partners, service providers, banking partners, government bodies, representatives from universities, and the Norlanka management alongside their Executive Leadership Team joined the event while Norlanka’s global team joined virtually.

GS Periwal – CEO of Norlanka stated, “At Norlanka, we deeply value our partnerships, and this event celebrates their outstanding achievements during the recent past. In our business, we have always focused on the concept of 3 P’s: Price, Product, and Process. However, what we’ve learned is that there is a fourth ‘P’ that is equally or even more important. That is ‘Partnerships’. Together, with our partners, we strive for excellence. Excellence in product quality, compliance, and customer service.  Norlanka runs on a platform business model, similar to our parent company, PDS Limited. Since our inception in 2010, our business model has been evolving, and today we provide apparel solutions from design to delivery, for a 20+ international customer base. This would not have been achievable without our strategic partnerships. We believe in the entrepreneurial spirit of our partners that is why we are always ready to support them. Support in terms of working capital & funding, machinery & automation support, technical & compliance support and so on. Despite the current economic conditions, our growth projections are positive, and we’re excited about the future and a mutually successful journey”

Manish Kashyap – Vice President, Sales & Marketing from Rajkrupa Textiles (India) Pvt Ltd stated “We have been business partners with Norlanka for six years and this award is a big milestone for us. Even during uncertain times, our partnership only grew stronger. We saw that especially during the pandemic. It was a great opportunity to be a part of Norlanka family during this event and we highly appreciate the acknowledgment as the ‘Most Strategic Supply Chain Partner’. We will continue to offer our fullest cooperation to Norlanka”.

A special panel discussion with Norlanka’s Executive Leadership Team members brought to light various strategies that will help the business navigate through these challenging times. The discussion helped to reassure partners on the steps taken by Norlanka to ensure that the company and its partner network will be able to thrive, and not just survive, in today’s uncertain economic landscape. The event also included the official unveiling of the new Norlanka logo and an eye-catching fashion show that showcased Norlanka designs and products across the categories of Family, Active wear, and Casual wear.

Norlanka is a confluent apparel solutions provider for over 20 international fashion brands and retailers and works closely with over 35 partner factories across Sri Lanka. These factories help ship 20 million garments a year, making the company one of Sri Lanka’s largest sustainable exporters of baby and kids wear while the company’s diverse product portfolio also consists active wear, casual wear, and athleisure. Its global clients include Primark, Matalan, Walmart, Superdry, George and many others. As a part of PDS Multinational – a global manufacturing and sourcing platform – Norlanka has access to a wealth of knowledge from the global arena and receives continuous support through research, new technologies and working capital finance in order to improve its manufacturing capabilities and sustainability practices.
