02 Gold Awards for Best Managed Project in ‘Construction / Infrastructure Development’ and ‘Green Outcomes’ as well as 02 Silver Awards for Best Managed Project in ‘Power and Energy Sector’ and ‘Technology and IT Sector’
Hayleys Fentons, with over a century of excellence in engineering and project management, proudly walked away with four accolades at the National Project Management Excellence Awards (NPME) 2023, securing the highest number of awards of the night.
The annual NPME Awards organised by the Project Management Institute of Colombo, recognises outstanding achievements in project management, highlighting best-in-class projects from diverse sectors.
At the August 18th event, Hayleys Fentons MEP division was honoured with the Gold Award for the ‘Best Managed Project’ in Construction/Infrastructure Development Sector for the Fire Protection and Detection System for the Katugoda warehouse of Hayleys Advantis Limited. The project effectively implemented a robust fire protection and detection system, to safeguard people and inventory.
Hayleys Fentons clinched the Gold Award for the ‘Best Managed Project with Green Outcomes’ for the inauguration of Sri Lanka’s first “Green” Experience Center belonging to the company’s own site in Katunayake.
The successful Supply, Installation & Maintenance of SD-WAN Solution for People’s Bank implemented by the Fentons ICT Division won the Silver Award for the ‘Best Managed Project in Technology and IT Sector’. This complex project saw the creation of the first of its kind, interconnected network for the Bank, enhancing branch administration and customer experience for the community which marked a significant technological milestone for the country.
Hayleys Solar secured the Silver Award for the ‘Best Managed Project in Power and Energy Sector’ for its groundbreaking Solar Installation Project for Telecommunication Towers that ensured uninterrupted connectivity amidst the power crisis last year. The project involved the installation of an impressive 5.6MW solar capacity across 1000+ sites island-wide within a mere three months. The project will also contribute to reducing 6449.30 tonnes of the nation’s CO2 emissions annually.
